About the Role As a Yardsman, you’ll play a key part in the safe and efficient operation of our yard and warehouse areas. You’ll be responsible for handling materials, assisting customers, operating equipment, and maintaining a clean, organised work environment. This role suits someone who is mechanically minded, enjoys physical work, and takes pride in doing the job right. What You’ll Be Doing Yard Operations Load and unload trucks and customer vehicles safely Move, stack, and store materials in designated areas Assist with picking and preparing molds Operate forklifts and yard equipment (where licensed) Conduct stock checks and report discrepancies Safety & Compliance Follow all WHS procedures and use PPE correctly Keep the yard clean, tidy, and hazard‑free Report hazards, incidents, or damaged equipment Equipment & Maintenance Complete daily equipment and forklift checks Identify and report maintenance needs Handle materials carefully to prevent damage Customer Service Assist customers on site in a friendly, professional manner Direct customers safely within the yard Work closely with sales, dispatch, and transport teams General Duties Assist with labouring tasks as required Support other departments during busy periods What We’re Looking For Essential Mechanically minded Able to perform manual handling and physical work Strong safety awareness in industrial/outdoor environments Reliable, punctual, and a team player Good communication, numeracy, and literacy Welding skills Desirable Forklift licence Car licence (Truck licence highly regarded) Experience in yard, warehouse, construction, or industrial settings Knowledge of building or landscaping materials Silica Awareness training Personal Attributes Safety‑focused and responsible Strong work ethic Able to follow instructions Adaptable and willing to help across tasks Positive attitude and good customer service approach Physical Requirements Able to lift and move materials safely Comfortable working outdoors for extended periods Able to work in varying weather conditions If you’re hardworking, safety‑minded, and ready to join a supportive team, we’d love to hear from you.
